School Workshops

School Workshops are an educational initiative that Pau Pi organizes every year to transmit the passion for Carnival to new generations.

For a full week, members of the association visit different schools in Lleida offering practical workshops where children learn about the history of Carnival, its traditions and the cultural significance of the festivities. Workshops include hands-on activities such as mask making, simple costume design and decoration of carnival elements.

Beyond the playful aspect, these workshops have an important pedagogical component: we teach children the value of popular traditions, respect for local culture and the importance of teamwork. Each year, more than 1,000 students participate in these workshops, ensuring that Carnival will continue to thrive for many generations.
